It’s the hot topic of the moment: ChatGPT!

You’ve probably already heard of this Artificial Intelligence that generates texts automatically. It answers (almost) every question you ask!

Have you tried it before? Were you disappointed?

Everyone talks about it like it’s a miracle, but most people just get generic answers.

We’ve invited an expert in the field to help you discover this time-saving tool!

Brice Trophardy is a Copywriter, and before immersing himself in his passion for writing, he was a recruitment consultant!

Here he shares his tips for using ChatGPT the right way, and boosting your HR processes!

What does ChatGPT do?

ChatGPT is a language model based on GPT-3.5, a powerful algorithm capable of generating, analyzing and synthesizing texts like a real person. It was created by the non-profit company OpenAI.

The aim of ChatGPT

ChatGPT has been optimized so that you can talk to it as if it were a real person. The idea is toopen up complex research to the general public and reuse information that has already been given!

What’s the difference with Google?

On Google, you always start from scratch when you do a new search. On ChatGPT, it remembers what you said before.

The limits of ChatGPT!

But ChatGPT also has its limits:

It is not connected to the Internet and its data is no more recent than 2021. The algorithm is very limited for security reasons. In early tests, users could ask it to create computer viruses, bombs and so on.

Would you like to try out this tool and learn how to use it?

Brice shares a complete tutorial!

How to use it for precise results?

As we’ve seen, ChatGPT is limited. And you can feel it when you use it for the first time: the results are very generic and superficial.

There’s a method to exploiting the tool’s full potential. Eachprompt you give it must follow a precise structure, which we’ll explain step by step:

Give him a role!

Assign them the best role for what you want them to do. Ask yourself who is the expert who could do what you want.

If you want to write a job ad for a web developer :

“You’re a tech recruiter with 10 years’ experience recruiting web developers.”

Specify the task

Be as specific as possible. ChatGPT is like a child: you have to tell it everything.

To return to our example:

“Your task is to write a job advert to recruit web developers for a startup specializing in publishing and selling SaaS software in the Fintech sector.”

Explain your objective

In our example: “I want to attract the best web developers.”

Describe the context

You can add contextual information to help us understand your request.

For us: “The startup has just raised 2 million euros. It has a caring culture and X or Y advantages.”

Indicate the steps he’ll have to take

Theyprovide a richer, more structured response.

For example: “I’ll give you our latest job advert for Business Developer profiles as an example. Use the same structure for the web developer ad.”

Impose constraints

ChatGPT is like a child in front of a coloring book: he doesn’t know not to overflow. It’s up to you to tell him what he can and can’t do. You’ll be able to add constraints according to his first answers.

Example: “Constraints: write the ad in French. Only use the structure of the business developer ad, but don’t use any information from this ad. Avoid talking about business development and concentrate on the web developer.”

Explain the format of the answers it will give you

Everything is possible here. You can give him an ad template to take over, for example.

In this case, write at the end of your request: “Use this ad as a template:” and copy and paste the ad.

How do you turn it into an HR assistant?

Now that you’ve mastered queries, your only limit is your imagination!

So here’s a list of 10 possible HR/Recruitment applications:

πŸ‘‰ Create a scorecard,

πŸ‘‰ Write a job description or a job offer,

πŸ‘‰ Generate Boolean searches,

πŸ‘‰ Create semi-personalized approach messages (e-mail or LinkedIn),

πŸ‘‰ Write your answers to candidates,

πŸ‘‰ Prepare a structured interview for the job,

πŸ‘‰ Generate interview questions for each position/function,

πŸ‘‰ Write an interview report,

πŸ‘‰ Create a candidate evaluation scale,

πŸ‘‰ Write publications for your ads on social networks,

As you can see, ChatGPT has incredible capabilities, and we’ve only just scratched the surface of what’s possible!
